A donut is unhealthy, unpractical and un-natural. But why do they make us all so happy? I’m not sure if I know, or care. Ignore the strange name, but one of the best donut cafes I have encountered since landing in Kansas City is called Oz’s Maq Donut House. They have a good handle on these sweet creations so let’s dive in:

Every Circle Metaphor Ever.
Taste: Fresh and hot here. These donuts have the right amount of sweet without making you need to take a type two diabetes test.
Presentation: Nothing fancy here. Just a guy with his glass donut case.
Originality: Donuts aren’t that original, but he keeps it simple and classic without compromising quality.
Service: The owner is so sweet and has always been very nice to my children as well. If I order a full box of donuts, he helps me out to the car and chats with me about my kids while I load everybody up.
Appearance: Honestly, the place isn’t much to look at. Florescent lighting and out-of-date signage. He is more focused on his product than his presentation.
Value: A much better value than Dunkin or Krispy Kremes.
